hey guys. for those who dont know that i will be away in CNY at shanghai, i've arrived safely and im blogging in front of my laptop in the hotel room.
anyway i had the most fabulous lightshow in the world. as according to traditions, ppl in the past left off firecrackers and created a huge din in the eve of chinese new yr to ward off the monster nian [or 'year' in english] which wuld appear every yr this time.
and in shanghai where its permitted for people to let off fireworks and firecrackers, u can imagine what a spectacle wuld be like during festive periods like chinese new year.
so instead of standing at esplanade just to wait for the new yr firework show, i had the most fantastic firework show presented outside my window. and every min and every second, there will be ppl letting off fireworks and firecrackers. so u can imagine how the din wuld be like with the combined population of 10million in shanghai. plus the myriad of fireworks which lit up the whole sky.
and i even had a firework exploded outside my window. and that wuld i say, is the truly most moving moments in my life. and after im back to singpaore, i'll show u how close i can get to witness fireworks.
no words can aptly describe what i feel. or all u guys who are accustomed seeing fireworks on the television and not to let off one personally, go buy a air ticket to china and u'll know what i mean.
